Homeschool Student IDs Are More Important Than You Might Think

I'm a proud homeschool graduate, and I want to help other homeschoolers succeed in life. Which is why I want to talk to you about how a crazy experience at the DMV made me realize why homeschool student IDs are more important than you might think.

Last year I went to get a state ID, and I ended up having to go to the DMV seven times to finally get my ID!

The main problem I was running into was getting proof of identification and a proof of residency. The thing was, I hadn't been to a hospital or public school and I lived with family, so finding this was no easy task.

If I already had a homeschool student ID, this process would have been much easier, as it is both a proof of residency and is a recognized form of identification.

This, paired with my homeschool transcript, would have made this painful process a breeze.

The truth is, at the time, I thought homeschool student IDs were only a fancy lanyard! I had no idea how much easier it would have made getting my state ID.

As a homeschooler, getting IDs and other forms of identification can be tricky, but it doesn't have to be. A homeschool student ID is an essential part of homeschooling, and it will make things smoother for your kids in the future.

Here are the benefits of having a homeschool student ID:

• A form of  identification for gov documents such as a learner's permit, state IDs driver's license, and passport.
• Discounts at various stores, museums, amusement parks, and more.
• It can be used as a form of identification if stopped by law enforcement
• It can help promote homeschool “school pride”
• You will have an official school to use on documents
