"When we homeschooled, we did a lot of unit studies and added activities for each age group. Also, when the children were older - allowing them to self-check and monitor their progress was a big plus. And, I always included "alone" time for each of the children during the week. Plus, we did many activities together as a family."

"I juggle by playing the role of teacher. I take my kids one or two at a time and send them off with their written work which they then submit to be to be graded. It takes me about 5 hours a day to get through everything. But I love the one on one time I get with my kids and my kids know the ropes and are good about doing their assigned work most days."

As far as learning styles go, I always try to incorporate as many as possible. This helps us all learn according to our preferred styles but also allows us to improve how we can learn in other ways. So, I'm a super visual person. I need to read it. But listening to audiobooks, watching documentaries, doing arts and crafts - they all help me get better at learning through audio and doing."
